Selon le rapport de police du poste de contrôle des animaux et un témoin, la tête du petit chien (entre 15 et 20 livres) avait été scalpée et ses yeux arrachés. Jacksonville Man Arrested for Animal Cruelty after Taking Dog's Head for Rabies Test

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- A man who walked into the animal control office with a dog's head in a plastic bag Tuesday afternoon has been subsequently arrested.

According to Scott Trebatoski with Jacksonville Animal Care and Protective Services, 31-year-old Morgen Ingerson had the head of a small dog with him and wanted it tested for rabies.

A supervisor said Ingerson told him the dog was being aggressive toward his 2-year-old daughter, so he killed it with a shovel.

Jacksonville Animal Care and Control said the dog was about six months old and weighed 15 to 20 pounds.

Ingerson was charged Tuesday with animal cruelty/intentionally causing cruel death/unnecessary suffering.
