They are not venomous, they are rear fanged snakes if I'm not mistaking. Same principal as the hognose ( correct me if I'm wrong). They do have toxins but everyone reacts differently to the toxin. I don't think you can really call them venomous.

Sylvain, Ive offered live only so far, he has eaten once for me. Im not to worried though.

All Boiga are rear fanged and mildly venomous. I live in Ontario now so it is not illegal in my area. and yes, they eat rodents like champions


Pat, they have a three finger toxin which is compared to a death adders venom.

oui les boiga sont venimeux, rear fang mais venimeux car les crochets sillonné sont relié à des glandes à venin. Dans le cas du hognose, ils sont opistodontes car les enzymes et toxines produites par la glande de duvernoy se mélange à la salive car les crochets ne sont pas silloné.
