Manu-superiorgeckos 0 Posté(e) le 7 juillet 2010 I would call those trait, Deficient gene eyes! When will human stupidity stop...I got out of Geckos just in time it seams...With all these new geckos that come up as new morphs, when they should be cataloged as deficient genes and not be bred anymore...I too was a follower once, but my marble eyes opened!! And that's what is sad in the reptile hobby in my opinion.Too much inbreeding are done by too much people to achieve their "goals" rapidly. I'm sure that the most common reptiles (cornsnake, leo gecko, etc.) will become like dogs in a few years: genetically weak species in captivity. Anyway, that's another debate. Where I have a problem is when one of these ''Morphs'' go wrong, but they still continue breeding it as a ''NEW'' morph. Exaples that come to mind is the Enigma that turn in circles, the mutated eye traits (eclipse-snake eyes-marble-etc...) that have more trouble in ambiant light conditions, Kinked tail paterless, etc... I know of what I speek of, I had them all, and stoped breeding these by conviction. For me it is unaceptable for breeders to continue breeding these specimens when they know it will eventualy default the species in captivity in the long run. And that is the reason I do not find them appeeling at all! Partager ce message Lien à poster Partager sur d’autres sites

Everything has been said, this is the major concern about breeding captive bred species. What makes me sad : people keep on breeding them even if they already knows it all Partager ce message Lien à poster Partager sur d’autres sites
