Pamala 0 Posté(e) le 18 octobre 2012 I have a small problem, my Theraphosa blondi is so active that she climbs the glass wall and crawls up side down under the screen. I had alot of trouble getting her down, I put a lid under her so that she wouldn't fall and since she just molted she flicked like crazy. Thank goodness she didn't show agressiveness while I got her down. I thought that Theraphosas didn't climb since the're so big and heavy. Now I'm worried that she might have a very bad fall and injure herself one of these days, I would love to put more substrate but I can't since I have sliding doors and an small air band in metal for air circulation. Can I use vaseline on the glass to discurage her from climbing or will it harm her?Now I'm itchy and my throat scratches . Not sure what to say, generally, an overactive T that always climbs means it is not so happy, usually something wrong with the substrate. What are the general parameters you keep it in, what kind of substrate and humidity? Martin Partager ce message Lien à poster Partager sur d’autres sites
Pamala 0 Posté(e) le 23 octobre 2012 Hello,I didn't put any vaseline, with reflexion, I also tought it would not be so good for her, especially if they clean themselves ofthen.I keep the substrate and the atmosphere at around 80% humidity with a small dry spot. The temp. is at 18oC and the substrate is biological pot soil, I find that the coconut substrate dries out too fast. But ever since I wrote, she stopped roaming and climbing around. I improved her environment and the parameters when I saw she stopped eating for about 2-3 months before her molt.Pamala Partager ce message Lien à poster Partager sur d’autres sites
