Suite à l'article de Xin Chen, Alexander D. McKelvy, L. Lee Grismer, Masafumi Matsui,
Kanto Nishikawa & Frank T. Burbrink (The phylogenetic position and taxonomic status of the Rainbow Tree Snake Gonyophis margaritatus (Peters, 1871) (Squamata: Colubridae)), le genre Gonyosoma compte deux espèces supplémentaires.

Gonyosoma frenatus (Gray, 1853)
Gonyosoma jansenii (Bleeker, 1859)
Gonyosoma margaritatus (Peters, 1871) (ex Gonyophis margaritatus)
Gonyosoma oxycephalum (Boie, 1827)
Gonyosoma prasinus (Blyth, 1854)

J'avais vu ça également, c'est assez perturbant pour certaines bestioles, notamment Rhynchophis boulengeri, j'aimais bien ce nom moi.
