CALGARY - The family of a teenager who has an E. coli infection says she is fighting for her life after contracting the bacteria at a popular burger
joint.

Sara Burgess fell ill a few days after the family visited Peter's Drive-In
on April 24, said her mother, Linda.

She said it started when her 15-year-old daughter began suffering from
headaches and nausea. Sara's condition worsened steadily and she was
hospitalized last Saturday.
"Then her kidneys shut down, she had to be put on dialysis and she's got a
lot of tubes in her," her mom said.
