That's nearly double the amount from the year before. Environmental groups and an animal health expert say the increase in the number of dead animals being dumped at the site raises concerns about groundwater contamination and the comfort of those living nearby. The province insists the practice is safe. But it has promised to look for alternative disposal options for dead cattle which are no longer being rendered into animal feed supplements as a result of the BSE crisis. Yesterday, Tory Leader Stuart Murray said the province has had nearly two years to find a better way of disposing of the animals, but has done nothing. 2005 Partager ce message Lien à poster Partager sur d’autres sites
