Animal 0 Posté(e) le 24 mai 2005 Hi all, An exciting tour is being launched by TRACS, and we are looking for interested people/groups across Canada who would be able to set up speaking/media opportunities in their communities for Captain Paul Watson of Sea Shepherd Conservation Society. (If preferred, press conferences can be in the form of public demos.) The main focus of the tour will be the Canadian commercial seal hunt, but Captain Watson will also address other marine and environmental issues, as interest dictates. The tour will begin on September 14, 2005, with his arrival in Vancouver on that date. Thus far, individuals/organizations from the following areas have expressed interest in participating: Vancouver, Kelowna, possibly Edmonton and Winnipeg, and Windsor/Detroit. The Kelowna events would happen on Friday, Sept. 16th; Captain Watson would then proceed eastward by air, after the weekend, on Sunday, Sept. 18th. He'd spend the balance of that week traveling from Alberta to the Maritimes, probably spending one night in each province (two if a number of cities are involved). Anyone interested in participating can e-mail me privately for more details: tracs@... . In addition to demos and press conferences, Captain Watson could do public lectures and attend pre-arranged meetings with your Members of Parliament. I urge you to take advantage of this fantastic opportunity to speak for the seals and our oceans. Meet one of the finest, staunchest animal advocates and environmentalists of all time, and help Captain Paul Watson to bring the message to your community! Hoping to hear from you soon, Sinikka Crosland Partager ce message Lien à poster Partager sur d’autres sites
