Animal 0 Posté(e) le 2 janvier 2006 Bill C-50 dies with fall of government When the government fell in late November, Bill C-50 died on the order paper. This legislation – which would have amended the animal cruelty provisions of the Criminal Code – was the seventh version of a bill initially introduced in 1999. We can only assume that an eighth version will appear in the next Parliament. With the election on January 23, 2006 we are asking our members and supporters to make sure that all of the candidates in their ridings are aware of the importance of animal welfare legislation.
