Feu follet1 0 Posté(e) le 10 mai 2006 Bonjour, je transmets. Nous devrons être là ! *** Hi everyone, I've been in touch with the media and they have asked for confirmation of attendance at the demonstration. We need to make it worth their while. We are thinking of Friday, May 19th at 1 p.m. Location will follow. I can assure you that it is very easy to get to for either eastbound or westbound demonstrators. Calculate your time to the Ontario/Quebec border and add 20 minutes. PLEASE it is very important that you read the email about the puppy mill again to help you make the crucial decision to be part of the solution. Week-end would be good but there would be less media coverage. Friday is still a week day and most people don't have to go to work the next day. There is strength in numbers. We can do this for our fur friends. Please get back to me a.s.a.p. and forward this email to everyone on your mailing list. Waiting for your reply. Nicole Joncas, Peace Ambassador Teja's Animal Refuge Nicole Joncas tejasanimalrefuge@sympatico.ca *** Hello everyone, Thanks for responding to our e-mail about the Puppy Mill demonstration. I attached the e-mail with more information and am hoping you are all still interested in attending to voice your opposition against this barbaric institution. We are currently trying to organize rides so please respond as soon as possible if you want us to try to arrange a ride for you. The animals need your support! Lucas Solowey <lucassolowey@gmail.com> concordia animal rights assocation 2020 mackay st. p-305 848-7415 cara_animalrights@yahoo.ca www.ConcordiaAnimalRightsAssociation.com cara_animalrights@yahoo.ca *** Lettre de départ : (From Animal Refuge Group) We have exhausted all venues to expose this horrific puppy mill on the border of Quebec and Ontario. We have known about it a year ago March. This has been reported repeatedly to the SPCA, Animaquebec, Ministry of Agriculture, Ministry of the Environment, the College of Veterinary Medicine, the Provincial Police, newspapers, the media, etc. This puppy mill is a 3 million dollar business for the scum who are perpetrating the most heinous cruelties to the 400 breeding dogs in this CANINE HELL. We have pictures, we have tapes, we have an informer who worked there and told all. We have a vet who is ready to testify in a court of law about what he saw, and still no reaction from the above mentioned. The dogs receive no vet care at all. They live from birth to death in a dark, dingy, damp, and cold infect huge decrepet building. The many broken windows are covered in plastic. Many dogs have died of pneumonia, covered in frostbite and the vet can testify to this. There are dogs of every breed and when they can no longer produce puppies, they are dropped off on the back roads, terrified as they have never been outside. We believe that many of the dogs that we have cross posted came from this horrible place, e.g. the Rottweiler Becka and Shyane, etc. The informer who was asked by the SPCA to take pictures as they don't lie was told by the SPCA that this was too big and to leave it alone. He is haunted by what he saw. I have all these pictures and we have sent them to all the above mentioned who have chosen to do nothing. The owners of the mill hire drug addicts to guard the compound from intruders. Anyone who works there is allowed to kill any dog for any reason. There is a clean up crew who the informer told me killed dogs with an axe. One of the pictures shows the remains of 2 Golden Retriever puppies whose decomposed bodies covered in maggets were left there to rot. Another of a Sharpei with a skin condition that eventually killed him (remember no vetting). When the females go into heat, the owner and his partner hold the females and prime the male whether they are ready or not. The informer told me of a small Bichon who was held this way and she bit him on the hand and he beat her to death. Another was an English Bulldog and he kicked her to death. A Golden Retriever who was barking got pulled out of her cage, lifted in the air, and pounded onto the cement and died, his response "that will teach her to shut up". We have a picture of a Bichon with her foot caught in the grid, could not tell if she was still alive. They sell the puppies to pet stores and to laboratories. A middle man needed 5 dogs weighing 30-35 lbs. and that he would pass by and pick them up in the following week. The owner pointed to 5 dogs who weighed more and he told the informer not to feed them for the next five days. Only when he runs out of food does he put in an order. Dogs go for days without food. There is much more but I know you get the picture. They also offer dog training using the most horrific methods, e.g. the helicopter etc. They break them or kill them which ever comes first. What goes on there is beyond peoples imagination. I am imploring the army of rescues and the circle of friends across Canada and the U.S. to come to the aid of man's best friend. We are thinking of holding a peaceful demonstration on the public road in front of this CANINE HELL where I shall contact the media far and wide asking for their presence to cover this demonstration. We need your HELP! It is a small step for us to send the message to the govenment of Quebec and Canada that we will no longer stand by waiting for them to take this seriously. I cannot reveal the exact location just yet, as I would not want the owners to be tipped off. What we propose, is that every rescue group will show up on mass on a certain date and time with banners of the name and location of their rescues from Canada and the U.S. We will make a statement to the government that we are a powerful army and they must put in place legislature banning puppy mills across the board and that petty fines does not cut it. I suffer from post traumatic stress syndrome from what I have seen and heard. I have kept it all in while begging the powers that be to do something. The following all know about this. The Montreal Gazette, W5, Global Action Network, CTV News, SPCA, Surete du Quebec, and all the ones mentioned above. We have lost all hope, and are counting on your support. All suggestions will be greatly appreciated. PLEASE CROSS POST. Our friends need our help. I know that united we can pull this off.
We were not getting the numbers of demonstrators for the 19th, the long week-end as many had plans, and the media would not come if there were too few. We have chosen Sunday, May 28th at 1:p.m.
*** Hello everyone! There has been a change of date for the demo to ensure that more people can make it since it will now be held on a weekend. The protest is going to be held at 1pm on Sunday, May 28th. The exact location of the protest will be revealed soon because we don't want the puppy mill operator to know before so they will have the time to "clean up" their mess. If you want to attend (and we really urge everyone to try to make it!), please let us know since we are collaborating with another group to rent a bus. If you're going to do one thing for animals this summer, let this be it! Please respond to this e-mail to reserve a seat as soon as possible. Thank you! If you need any motivation, please see the following e-mail which explains the barbarity of this puppy mill and the dire urgency to take action. This is one of the first actions of its kind at a puppy mill, please be there to show your support. cara_animalrights@yahoo.ca Partager ce message Lien à poster Partager sur d’autres sites
