Un commentaire au journal The Mirror

It’s hard to understand why someone would choose such a photograph to advertize the front page of a newspaper, unless it is for promoting violence. To see this dead piglet under the huge knife of a proud butcher who looks like he is having a “ball” (to be polite), not to mention the tasteless sentence underneath this awful picture: “Once more with squealing” is quite astonishing. Perhaps the person who thought this picture was funny enough to pluck it on the front page of the Mirror newspaper should visit a hog farm and witness how pigs are tortured from birth to death in order to feed people who only care about themselves. May be then, will the author be a little more respectful towards innocent living creatures whose only fault is to have been born under a different appearance than hers.

Dear Editors,

I have never seen such a disgusting front page photo in my entire life!

Is there nothing better you can put on the cover of your newspaper to
represent tne "Best of Montreal"?

Or is this sick display of a dead animal carcass with a perverted,
knife-wielding
man the "best" your city has to offer?
