The Canadian Seafood Boycott Signs on 21 Canadian Restaurants

After worring that Canada would be a tough place to sell the Canadian seafood
boycott, we are proud to announce that, to date, 21 restaurants have signed on
to the boycott.

The restaurants include five star restaurants, chinese and thai restaurants, and
restaurants that are featured in the Where to Eat in Canada guides. Some
restaurants have even decided to take items off their menu, rather than serve
Canadian.

There are also several vegetarian restaurants that have given their support by
providing literature informing their customers -- some of whom are meat eaters
-- about the boycott.

These seal-friendly restaurants are located in Kelowna, B.C., Ottawa, Toronto as

Ça chasse le phoque au Québec... et avec la Hervieux qui est venue cracher son venin sur les défenseurs des phoques, ça n'a sûrement pas aidé non plus !!!!!!!

C'est possible mais certains restaurateurs végétariens auraient peut-être donner leur appui.

Je ne sais pas si le fait que des restos vgs participent à ce boycottage aide beaucoup la cause ou si ça ne nuit pas plutôt- j'avais lu des commentaires à ce sujet, je ne me rappelle plus où exactement (peut-être dans le blog d'un journaliste, ou un commentaire suite à un article de P. Watson) et il s'était justement servi de cet argument pour ridiculiser cette action... Il avait écrit quelque chose à l'effet que les défenseurs des animaux devaient se tourner vers des restos vgs pour ce boycott car ils ne trouvaient pas assez d'appui ailleurs...

C'est aussi que ça va de soi qu'ils ne servent pas de produits de la mer, mais comme ils les ont inscrit sur leur liste, soit ils continuent de demander l'appui d'autres restos vg soit ils ne les mentionnent plus.
