Animal 0 Posté(e) le 14 juillet 2007 13/07/07 Animal rights activist offers $5,000 for footage of seal cruelty The Journal Pioneer Got some film footage or photos of seal pups being harvested during the spring seal hunt? Then Cathy Kangas wants to hear from you. The CEO and Founder of PRAI Beauty, based in Connecticut, is also offering cold, hard cash - $5,000. According to a news release, the money is offered to “anyone with film footage or photographs depicting the cruelty of the 2007 Canadian seal hunt.” Kangas offered the Canadian government $16 million to end the hunt last year. That offer was rejected. Her news release stated, in part, “This year, for the first time, the Canadian government banned journalists and observers from viewing the hunt. “In addition, veterinarians who traveled to Newfoundland in April on behalf of the European Commission, were also denied access.” Kangas accused Ottawa of hiding the truth from Canadians about the hunt. “What is the government hiding from the Canadian people as well as the rest of the world? Why were legitimate news organizations banned from observing the hunt?” She went on to state, “we hope that this bounty will produce footage that will graphically depict the brutality of the hunt.” http://www.journalpioneer.com/index.cfm?sid=44355&sc=118 p.s.: Sinikka a posté un message dans les commentaires....
