I am writing to the Apodora forum to request help. I am writing a paper comparing Apodora to Liasis, as I disagree with several recent phylogenetic papers that will place papuana back into the genus Liasis. I want to make the point that this is a mistake. I need a good close-up picture of a Papuan python egg tooth. Actually, two pics would be nice—one view straight down, a dorsal view of the snout with the little egg tooth sticking out is the more important view, but a lateral view would also be nice so I can see how flat the tooth is. Tracy and I bred Apodora in 1994, but we no longer keep the species. I’m writing you on the Apodora forum because I do not know who is breeding papuana and I figure if any one knows, it would be you. Or you might know who has bred them in recent years past and who might have such pictures of Apodora egg teeth. Be aware that I intend to publish the images, and whoever it is that owns the images will be properly credited. This is my first post on this website, and I must say I am impressed with all those smileys--I had no idea there were so many. contact me at vpi@beecreek.net. Thanks Dave Barker VPI
