Je viens de voir les photos du concours sur le site,....excellentes. Dommage qu'il n'y avait pas de note pour le "free style" de Hughie sinon je tapais la 3ème * !!!!!

C'est formidable de lire les commentaires, mais avec les photos, c'est surement mieux.
Ah ça rigole ça rigole, et moi je vois toujours rien, j'en est mare du bas débit..........

I am not interested in the breeding, or who the owner is. my job consists of telling you if you have a Gypsy Cob or not, in both cases you mention, they are not Gypsy Cobs, the first being Upsy, and let me tell you that height is defined by the genetic makeup and not how much you feed your young horse! and for your reference, father Blackjack of ICS would NOT pass as a Gypsy Cob. Every gypsy Cob should have weight and good condition, being in good condition however, does not automatically make it a Gypsy Cob. Height is not an issue as long as it has breed type, for example the gelding Kian, very big but full of 100% breed type!
The mare is simply not a Gypsy Cob, and nothing you can do will make her one. would i be doing the breed justice if i turned a blind eye and passed everything before me as a gypsy cob for the sake of upsetting the owner.? Is this what the gypsy cob breed really wants?
I trust my co judges completely to make the correct choice in my absence, and this day prooved to me they can be trusted to do so.
I am sorry your owners obviously had such a bad day, but these inspections and shows are held to protect the breed and keep the french horses to the correct breed standard.
