    Recherche d'un chiot.

Without offending anyone here, SouShY you should see the dogs live before you make a decision. Sorry for telling you that, but you have made yourself a wrong idea about "impressive". The breeders from two links you posted are breeding extremely different kind of dogs. There's nothing to compare. Marco's dogs(Quinlet) impressed me a lot, also. They are balanced, very fit,but not bully at all. There is genetics there, for sure, you can't make a dog looks like that without genetics, but there is a lot of work with them. The fact there are like that is a credit to Marco and I have a lot of respect for him when i look at his dogs. This is a way of living. A SBT can impress someone without being massive like a tank. Without disconsideration for anyones' tastes, I can assure you that a well muscled dog can be extremely impressive without being bully. Also, try to make a difference between a fatty and a solid dog. The SBT must have well defined muscled. If you don't see the muscles when you see a solid dog try to imagine him 1-2 kg less. You will have a surprise. A massive dog is not impressive at all if it's just fat and no muscles. Any dog can be fat but not any dog can be muscles if he hasn't the genes for that. There are dogs looking magnificent even they stay all day on the couch and walks 1 hour a day, but there are others that with this way of living will have only 20-22 kg of fat and even if you work with them they will not look like the others. I recommend you to study first from breeders sites, you have plenty to see on this forum, then go to a few shows. The photos are good for making an idea, but you must see them live. And you must see different types of dogs before you make a decision. It is not a toy you are looking for, it is a long term commitment. Because I didn't consider myself well prepared for choosing a show dog, but I still wanted a SBT, when I took my first boy I choose him for character. And if you choose for character, with the right help from the breeder, there's no way to be deceived. My boy is exactly like I want him to be and I love him a lot. If you don't want a dog for shows or breeding, choose him for character. It is the best way of making a lovely 15 years friendship. If you want him for shows, well...you have a lot to study. And it's not with deadlines in here: I want him till the end of december. It tooks time to decide what you want, time to find a line you like, time to get in touch with breeders and gain their trust, waiting lists.... Best of luck and don't forget: there is a long term commitment you are talking about, not just the massive of dog you are having in leach. You we'll have a lot of time and unforgettable moments together, do not hurry. Take your time until you make your own opinion. I hope you understand my english and sorry for the long reading

    Interesting reading. Thank you
  9. I'm very happy for you. Good luck!
  10. you may find all babies living with us in this pictures. They have a lot of fun together, as you can see. zupa & flor pispis pispis & zupa all 3 of them hope you like them
  11. bittersweet mistake: show dog, not shoe dog. But if you don't buy for the right reason unfortunately it may become a "shoe dog"
  12. good advice. your breeder might say if it is a promising pup considering experience and all the pups she have seen, also you may find a good pedigree, but nobody can tell at 2 months if the pup will be for show or not. If you want a pup buy first for friendship, for enjoying life together. If you want a shoe dog, buy a mature one. If you don't want to consider your dog first as companion and then, well, "if is for show K, if not, still my dog and I love him", please don't buy him. Allow somebody else who want a companion to buy him and be happy together. Instead, go search a mature dog. We sell dogs as companions, never for shows. Well, we will be the happiest persons if he will turn out in a good sow dog. But you just can never know at 2 months old.
  13. Me too I prefer the last picture from the front. I'm curious to see her now, after you started training her. She will increase in volumes if you are doing it right.
  14. Congratulation for the new pup. Impressive pedigree. Good luck!
  15. Beautiful dog! I prefer him to his brother But both of them have "dream walking", from all the males I've seen in Budapest they impressed me a lot with that walk. Congratulation Staffgold Kennel!
  16. It's about Djembe? If it's her, I don't think this is the problem. Dogs with overlong soft palate suffocate and snores seriously after practicing on hot weather. Not when they wake up. Does mucous membranes turns blue? Did the vet check the throat? Maybe is just something irritating the throat...
  17. maybe this will help you to better understand overlong soft palate.: http://www.staffords.co.uk/sbtvet/palate.htm I didn't understand something(maybe is my French) : did your dog suffocate once, or does that many times? It is after practicing, or running? Or in hot weather?
