Hi Steven! The eggs I had looked good, but turned bad withing 2 3 weeks kept them in the incubator but never hatched looked at their inside and havent seen any embryo... some looked like slugs but the other looked okay might be my fault I'll never know! I can get them fresh imports a few times a year...I had mine eating rodents like phil's but didnt lived a long time but I had it full of eggs...probably didnt help to acclimate her... I'll have more at some point! If you want some contact me via pm I can let you know next time I see them around! Alex

Hi mate There have not been any deaths attributed to Boiga dendrophila, there have been some very severe bites in Guam though from Boiga irregularis. The venom is rich in the same sorts of neurotoxins as are typical of elapid venoms and it is actually very potent (we have a paper coming out on this). However, the venom delivery is not terribly efficient, more than enough to settle down a prey item but not enough to typically cause severe effects in humans. Bites to humans can result in mild neurotoxicity, I've had this and its best described as 'death adder-lite'. A little giddiness, loss of balance and some discomfort breathing. Not worries Wink Have a read of the papers in the publications section if you haven't already. Thats certaily her perogative. I personally rate Boigas as fine for teenage level up. They can be safely worked with with generic gardening gloves as the fangs in the back of the mouth are poorly developed. They are certainly not likely to be able to normally cause clinically significant bites, let alone life-threatening. I use them to bring my students up to speed since they are pugnacious snakes that can be a bit intimidating but bites aren't punished too badly.
