If you are careful there is no harm in gently assisting the neo... However, when it is known the snake is breathing on it's own it is best to let it absorb it's yolk sac and come out when it's ready on it's own. Any eggs that do not hatch within 12-24 hours of the 1st one's, I manually pip with small cuticle scissors. Rob

My wife "had" to wake me up and tell me the news... She seems to always see babies before I do... Although not a huge litter, I am still happy the season wasn't a total wash... 4 neos and 4 slugs.. These are F2 babies btw... Here's pics... Rob Look how huge they are in comparision to the gtps... they were 30-34 grams... the chondros were 6-12 grams...

Bonjour!!! Tu a le bonne gout!!! Oui c'est vrais que les emeraude peux vien aggresif mais presque tout les especes sont comme ca. Le plus tu prendes le serpent(gentilement par example) le plus the serpents vien habituer et maniplable... Hey there!!! You have very good taste in snakes!! It is true that emeralds have a tendancy to be aggressive but really, almost all species have the ability to never tame down.. I have found, the more I interact with my emeralds (within reason of course---> you don't want to be pulling them out of their cages every second) .. the more emeralds will begin to calm down recognize you not as a threat.. Sorry again all for my French.. I am trying to write as much as I can and have been reading more lately to hopefully improve in this area!!! Here's a pic that shows how tractable some emeralds can become.. and here's a pic that shows what can happen if you test their patience... last year I had a female lay approx 10 eggs in the water bowl... They did eventually die but a few of them went full term... I had other problems with my incubator mind you... so you have nothing to lose... try it and see what happens!! Bonne chance! Rob

Yes that was one clutch of eggs... there were 20 in total, 4 were slugs and 1 died about 3 weeks into incubation.. Rob

Well.. 15 live is the final count...

This is day 52 for this clutch.. 5 pipped on their own, I waited roughly 8 hours and pipped the rest. Here are some pics.. this one kinda looks like it has a crooked bottom jaw??? i guess we'll see... this one was cute I thought... Rob
