I took her out of the enclosure to do some cleaning and I couldnt believe how tense/firm her bottom half was. Sooo full of eggs. Well, lets hope anyway!! Half hearted hood 2012 is looking good so far! Hope everyone else has a good year!
  5. YES!! Glad Im not the only one to think that
  6. That is actually an interesting idea!! Just a matter of having the food not fall out...and me getting horizontal branches. All of mine are pretty much vertical.
  7. Strange...it did the same when I clicked it... maybe copy/paste? I drilled a hole about an inch deep. The first photos are with a piece of wood that hollow inside so he actually had to grab it with his hand. I had nothing to cover it, just stuffed a dead superworm in it (didnt want it to crawl out)
  8. Firstly, to make this make sense, here is a quote from Reptilescanada.com my response to that was drilling holes and giving it a try! starting to check it out and figuring it out! and Wasabi doing her thing EDIT: Spoke to soon! He found the chick piece! (Poor tree died while I was on vacation)
  9. Blitzkrieg originally came from the USA as a Captive Bred and Zerstoren was a fresh import from Indonesia. Boiga dendrophila melanota get a bit larger than B.d.dendrophila and have less yellow. the stripes on melanota do not go all the way around the body. The Yellow on B.d.dendrophila is also around the eyes and on the base of the tail. Overall, have more striping on them that tends to go all the way around the body, or close to. Very similar looking but not quite! Maintenance isnt that hard. Lots of branches, humidity and hiding places. My melanota eats very well over night but I still have to forcefeed and soak my dendrophila. She is not established yet. Hopefully she eats on her own soon. http://www.wix.com/blitzkriegreptiles/br#!__mangrove-snake
  10. Mangrove Snake (Boiga dendrophila melanota) et Gold Ring Cat Snake (Boiga dendrophila dendrophila)
  11. Thanks Marc! Those are my favorite too Ahahahhaa! Hope you liked it
  12. Thanks! One is a Black Tree Monitor (Varanus beccarii) and Green Tree Monitor (V prasinus)

  17. It has been a long time since I have been on here, not sure why. But Im going to post updates of everyone in their own section...I'll start with the colubrids! Mr Blitzkrieg: Newest member, Zerstoren Tsunami Typhoon Glacier
  18. Well, I MIGHT be able to in a few years...hehehe. But Its going to be pretty $$$ I think :p Also need to find the Yellow
  19. I really love her blues! Not so green for a green tree monitor lol! I was going to get outdoor pics of my black tree, but my batteries were dead in my camera. Oh well!
  20. and it looks good enough to eat
  21. Maybe give this boy a try first. By far, this is the scariest snake I have every worked with so far. I honestly would rather mess with hots...well, maybe not elapids LOL. He is SCARY and that is an understatement IMO compared to my other Falsies. He may only be a sub-adult but the temper this boy has is incredible. Oh, and his features match my theory with the FWC differences too Introducing Monsoon (for the moment..need to think of a creepier water-like name) Still on the hunt for a female!
  22. thanks everyone! She hatched out 10/21/2009
  23. Got a few photos of my beloved Wasabi! She's a sweetie and not afraid of the camera surprisingly. Checking out the camera and a comparison photo of Wasabi and Kai...had them together while cage cleaning
