  1. Kai will do ANYTHING for snails. That includes doing a few acrobatic moves lol "Leap of Snails" Jumping off my chest for a snail before I even got to him. Throat full of snails lol. Happy beccarii, with snail juice on his nostril lol
  2. She laid 8 eggs 2 months ago, 2 are only fertile and should hatch around April 6th! Same last year too..only 2 lol. I must not be doing something right when I cycle them....so hopefully next year that will be different!!
  3. Just what I have since I have experience with them since I know what it is, not just basing from what other people say. I already have someone yelling at me for that on ReptilesCanada because supposedly I wasnt "exact" with anything, example, the venom (but no one knows about the venom so how can I ?)..yet that person doesnt keep any FWC and is telling me I dont have any experience? Eh, whatever, Im talking to much :p If you want to, go right ahead! I will make sure to mention you in that part Thanks!
  4. Natural History? Not sure what I would put? you have me interested there Im starting another one for Mangrove Snakes (melanota)...but not until tomorrow... I only got the photos up. That one wont be in-depth as I only have 1 and still looking for a female
  5. I am in the middle of redoing my website. I decided to add a Species Information section and the first one I added was Hydrodynastes gigas, the False Water Cobra. I did not copy anything from the internet, it is all my own experience and knowledge. I was wondering if I can have your input and possible addition ideas for it from you guys! To look at it, go to http://www.wix.com/blitzkriegreptiles/br , click "Species Info" then click "False Water Cobra" Let me know what you think and what should be added/changed! thanks!
  6. 25 more days roughly and I should see lots of eggs! I hope Tsunami, 8' female False Water Cobra in pre lay shed and FAT! That is her nesting box by the way lol
  7. They cause trouble wherever they go :p Well, 2 do! Just a few photos I took this morning.... 8' Female gigas sitting in what was her nest box. I had/have a feeling she may have another clutch brewing but she is just to darn big to really tell. Her last clutch only had 2 good eggs due to hatch April 6th. The male gigas...only about 5-6' maybe? very well tempered compared to the female. I can actually pet him without being lunch and running away like a chicken :p ( I do get chased by the female on occasion LOL) Azrael, female B. cyanea, 4.5-5' or so Blitzkrieg, male B. d. melanota, goofy photo, the water drop makes him looks like he has a beak. pushing 5'
  8. Some photos of Kai and Tofu that I took today, The Argus photos are blurry, no idea why they came out like that but eh, whatever :p Kai: and Tofu, "he's" good eater, now for "him" to trust me enough for that typical Argus attitude and food response. Again, sorry for the bad photos oh, and someone who hasnt been posted in a while. Tonka, and .... I do not own him, Jeff(my room mate) does. I just live with him and do everything else....but I dont own him(the albig). When he first came here in December/January and today, easily quadrupled in size
  9. Male Draco volans, rare sight in Canada. Eating mealworms, Pillbugs, occasional small silkworm. Best diet would be ants, as that is their natural prey item as well as various small grubs. They need a high humidity enclosure, lots of climbing space, I use live plants with thick "trunks" at about 3' high. 50.00$ Will be at Montreal Expo in May but a deposit is required.
  10. 0.0.3 Bumble Bee Walking Toads, I have another one as well, but it only has one eye. 40.00 each or 90 for all 3 The one eyed one will be 20$ Will be at Montreal Expo in May but need an EMT deposit at least first.
  11. Stunning '09 male Het Albino, Amazing feeding response, and will eat anything! Amazing tempermant to boot, not head shy in the slightest. He is ready to breed, almost looks like a really dark Anery. 125 OBRO First photo is the most recent one of him in his dark phase, second photo is not so recent but shows him in his normal coloration. Will be at Montreal Expo in May but need an EMT deposit at least first.

    Post Shed Babies...

Got around to getting photos of the babies....5 of the 6 ate, the only one that hasnt eaten is the one that still hasnt shed yet.. .. still feeling crappy about Ayres (mom). female female male "Loops", female, pretty much a spitting image of mom....but with a stripe. here is mom a few sheds after being born. female male, still hasnt shed anyway, hope you guys enjoy... but I dont see myself keeping boas again anytime soon after this. Her death practically murdered me.
  13. hahaha yep! That is how I got Blitz's name(and thread title!) originally....listening to that song... Blitzkrieg = Lightning War (He's fast, aggressive and kinda has lightning bolts on him?) so it worked!
  14. Blitz ALWAYS tries to bite me, However, my green cat snake has... 100% my fault. She would never take food from me, so I always left it in the cage at night and put it on a branch. One day I went to do that (no tongs...that was the problem) and she decided that she wanted to take food right away....and that was my finger... To my knowledge, Boiga cyanea have the least potent venom, so I was lucky there...it was just so damn hard to get her off! It was like a bulldog. I had to first untwist her from the branches with one hand then run 5 flights down the stairs to get the listerine to put in her mouth. Nothing else worked. Not even water lol It doesnt look that bad in the photos as the flash made the colors not show that much, but it HURT. Hopefully, never again! Especially my melanota. The bite: one hour later The next morning 2 hours after * Note the red line moving in the next 2 photos the line "moving"....1 hour later 5 hours later The next morning It started to get better after that...wow did that hurt. 100% my fault, but it was interesting... This all happened last year in June. The one who wanted my finger for dinner:
  15. Mr Blitzkrieg was in one crabby mood the other day when I was cleaning his enclosure..and geez he has grown since he was a little worm...what...almost 2 years ago? Crazy! He used to be a sweet little Boiga...now he knows what he can do and well, is the devil in disguise :p The day I brought him home, june 23rd 2009 my what big eyes you have.. and this week pushing 4-4.5' His eyes burn with rage  I definitely need a bigger hook...man can he launch himself!

    R.I.P My Girl...

At just 4 years of age, Ayres passed away just 30 minutes ago..I was hoping to take her to a vet tomorrow but it was to late. She was the sweetest snake I have ever met, moreso like a daughter to me, despite how silly that sounds...its almost to much of a dream.. R.I.P I love her to death... I guess she lives on though with 6 beautiful babies.. I cant believe how much of a mess I am right now..

    Stool Spotting

did you palp her end ?does feel like it got a hard ball ? The day after I felt something, but it wasnt very hard. It's gone now. does she eat befor today ? if yes did she poop correctly avec digesting her rat ? Ya, she ate the day after having her babies. 1 weaned rat and 1 small rat. She regurged the small rat 1.5 days later but kept the weaned rat in. I think I just gave her to much at once. No real "poop" yet...

    Stool Spotting

I was going to call Stav tonight actually, and I plan on going to the vet as soon as I can. I just want input if this is normal or has been seen before.

    Stool Spotting

that also went through my head, but she ate a small rat for me, which I was told/read that they dont eat until everything is out of them? I hope no more babies are in there....

    Stool Spotting

Best way I can put it, but ever since my girl gave birth she has been stool "spotting" all around the enclosure. I have no idea if it is normal or not but it is freaking me out a bit. normal or not so normal?
  23. who hunts down his prey, "pouncing" and eating as fast as he can before others catch sight of food. Just like a Tiger that wont back off in sight of danger... Just like... a Tiger Rat Snake. :p In a way they are quite the same dont you think? lol! Anyway, Raikou has a new enclosure as well, making use of it as we speak, ate in it right away and well, showed off a bit after his dinner.
  24. awesome!! Congratz and hopefully you have lots of babies!! Save one for meee
