    Nice Jeremy
  3. I'd like to know more about this character. Interesting snake behavior is one of the more important things I look for in captive snakes. Sure they have to be "purdy" but I like personality more. Jeremy
  4. One question for Don, are you putting your pair of D.c.melanurus together this season? Jeremy
  5. Thank you Don for the compliments on my photos. I get lucky with the camera sometimes. I am proof you can have uber expensive camera stuff and still take crap shots. It really is all about the skill behind the lens. Also thank you very much for the examples of Drymarchon feeding habits. For someone like myself new to the genus the more information from people that actually know their stuff is very important. AlexG mentioned their stinking ability, I don’t find them to be that bad. I keep mine on aspen and it absorbs all the moisture and smell right away. Maybe I’m hard of smelling or something(Seinfeld anyone?). I should try feeding them canned tuna maybe…….? I’ve heard that results in pretty foul excrement. Nir also very interesting findings. Seems so common in modern herp keeping to feed snakes as much chubby rats as you can to make them big (gram weights and such) so they can be “breedable”. Really it makes no sense, is a overweight person a good healthy breeder…………nope. Jeremy
  6. I'll add some snake photos now as this is the "Colubrides et Autres Serpents" section. I found out the hard way that she didn't like these white hides. You'd think I would have got the message! She much prefers these dark blue ones. Jeremy P.S. Sorry but Ovechkin's goal was awesome!!! P.S.S. A big boat I saw on vacation.....and that's an Ontario flag on the back of it!!!
  7. Here are a couple more just for you Phil. I don't know my anolis but I assume these are Anolis distichus dominicensis. I did notice an abundance of Brown Anoles Anolis sagrei also but only got a couple bad shots of them (Bad meaning worse than these). Jeremy
  8. I'm lovin this, great shot by everyone. Don those couperi are drop dead gorgeous, love the rusty facial markings. I did have a great time on vacation, not thinking once about "being banned" for my drunken behavior or being mocked because I don't think a baby burm should be 10 ft in it's first year of life. Great VeeBeeBee shots Mel, I think their new name should really be VeeBeeBee. Working in IT I've developed a real hatred of acronyms. Don and Nir made good points and this is something I have run into a fair bit on some reptile related sites. Don knows one specific instance where I received advice to feed my cribo on a daily basis if she will accept it?? Daily!!!! This was from someone who had 3000 years experience breeding couperi, or some other exaggerated amount of time. You can go to many many of these various sites and see the same ridiculous stuff. “My ATB’s throat is all puffed up???”, “Oh it’s probably just in shed”. What the fuck, when does a snake do that when in shed?? The internet is not a safe place to get good advice, find some friends that have learned and take their advice over anyone. People will bull shit to no end to make themselves appear to be experts. Jeremy P.S. I like this place P.S.S. How many people have rushed out to open a TFSA?? how many people know what a TFSA is?? P.S.S.S.
  9. This is what I like to see, brings a little tear to my eye. How I have missed Don's photographic contributions, very nice to see the yellow tailed eggs came out like you expected. Jeremy
  10. I don't sell these, I only have the pair that are still very young. There we a generous gift from a friend that has a passion for Thamnophis, among other great snakes. Jeremy
  11. LOL, thank you very much sir, it will make things a bit easier for us. Jeremy
  12. Love that last shot Mr.Spankenstyne, Pituophis are great for their entertainment value. Jeremy
  13. Thanks all. It will be entertaining for the other people on this site to watch us (the linguistically challenged) try to figure things out. The T.s.concinnus are two of my favourites that I have. I just rolled out of bed and went over to turn the lights on for all the snakey critters. Who is sitting there looking out at me? The two little garters, both intently staring out of their tank (Yep they’re in a fish tank) almost saying “Are you gonna feed us” The cribo is out, well at least her head is just like the picture. However she always seems to be thinking “what the F&^% do you want”. She is hand tame but seems to be irritated by any distractions where the Thamnophis seem to be interested in the on goings outside their little world. A bit of Anthropomorphism on my part but still entertaining. Jeremy
  14. oh crap, I meant to add that to the new member thread. Jeremy
