  1. I am very sorry to read about your tragedy with Sunny, a truely beautiful mare, her death is a great loss to the GCS, she was truely a great representation of the breed, and I know that your heart will be broken. With your permission I would like to present a trophy at the show at Domaine Du Vallon, in the memory of your beautiful mare, to the winner of the show, to be presented each year to the champion. I hope you will be happy for me to do this? We will call it THE SUNNY MEMORIAL TROPHY, ok?
  2. Thank you everyone for your kind words about China, I will add some more photos soon.
  3. Chywoon Rosie I have to admit is one of the best mares i have seen and better still she belongs to me, her chest and shoulders are amazing, correct and true, if you have any doubt as to correct gypsy Cob conformation i think Rosie has it all. We have two daughters Rose Bud and Rose Hip, and they both have her wonderful breed type and conformation. I hope you like her as much as i do?

  6. Thank you to everyone who made the show a great success. I met some of the nicest people within the Gypsy Cob breed in france over the weekend, and i had a wonderful time, Hannibel has asked me to pass on his thanks to everyone and we both got home safely, tired but with alot of happy memories. A very big thank you especially to Seb, Cathy and Charlotte who obviously spent many hours organizing what was the biggest inspection to date, and most efficient. My report of the inspection has been written and will be posted in the next few days. well done to everyone and all the wonderful well presented horses and their polite exhibitors.
  7. sorry you have not been able to contact me, send your passport, with an up to date photo, a letter giving your new details and a self address envelope, I will cover the cost of your transfer myself in an apology for the delay in being able to contact me. my sincere apology. send it to: chywoon stud, church brough, kirkby stephen, cumbria CA17 4 ej. provided it is a GCS Uk passport?
  8. glad to hear everything is improving, yes, first time mares can be sore, keep it up, everything will be ok in few days. but keep an eye out for mastititis, theres a reason why she kicks the foal, they are usually naturally good mothers, hope to see you sometime in the year.
  9. Dick, Carol here, sounds to me like your mare has Mastitis, especially if she let the foal suck in the first few hours and then refused. thats because it hurts, the udder will feel hard on one or both sides, and perhaps hot too. You have to strip the infected milk out by hand until the milk runs free, it will be clotted and thick like string, and hurts like heck if the foal tries to suck. she could have a fever from this which means antibiotics, main thing, did your foal get colustrum? in which case if it did, feed it foal milk until you get the mares milk running free again, however, the main thing is to get the foal back on the mother asap, even if it is for short periods, the more you strip the udder out the quicker you will clear it up. Cows 'udder salve' from any good farm supplies is a good product to rub into the udder to help soften the tissue. hope this helps, contact me direct if you need anymore help.
  10. if this horse was mine i would do the following:- wash all the effected areas in a product called Hybiscrub a antibacterial wash rather like a shampoo but it kills bacteria, then i would apply a product you can purchase of the internet called benzol benzoate, it is a white liquid, put this product well into the skin all over the affected parts. this will clear your problem wint in about 2 weeks . good luck carol
  11. Aeden looks wondeful, short back, good neck, beautiful head, and amazing feather for a baby. I hope you like him as much as i do. a very good trot to. i look forward to seeing him in the summer. beautiful photos of your babies as usual Corinne, both look very happy and full of life.
  12. i hope you are able to get the english translation, bruno will help you!!! i am sorry your beuatiful mare has been so ill, but please be assured that with this condition you must give time for your antibiotics to work. it will not be a quick recovery but the antibiotics will kill the infection in the lungs, in the presnt time you have to keep your horse hydrated, (fluids) with mineral suppliment. Is she drinking? does she look dehydrated? what is her pulse? it should be 30/40 beats per minutes, over 50 means that her body is in distress. what is her CRT like Capelliary refill, (the blood returns to her lips after you pinch them). all these are important things to look for in your horse, but priority is hydration and good ventilation. do not keep her too warm either. i can not believe you had a probelm with your vet coming to visit your horse immedialty you asked, i think i would have strong words with my vet if he did not come with in one hour of my call!!! i hope she makes a quick recovery!
